Saris and Safaris Tour

Introduction

Saris and Safaris is a tour that encompasses much of the best of India and Sri Lanka in April and May 2013. During the course of the 54 days of travel, the rich variety, textures and contrasts of the Sub Continent to be experienced will include:

• Extremes of climate from the heat and sand of the Thar Desert, the majesty of the Himalayas to the humidity of Southern India and Sri Lanka

• Exposure to various faiths such as, Jain, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Tibetan Buddhism

• Variety of exotic wildlife in national parks like Ranthambore and Madumalai (and hopefully the sight of a tiger or two)

• Glimpses of the various phases of Indian history such as the Mughals, the Raj and Maharajahs

• Beautiful landscapes in the plantations and waterways of Southern India and Sri Lanka
